Out
Promotion is the leading independent UK radio and TV promotions
company, we have successfully brought more exciting and critically
acclaimed artists into the mainstream than any other radio &
TV company today. We're known for creative thinking and discerning
A&R; our policy is to keep a small client roster of credible
and exciting acts that we are totally committed to and passionate
about.
Nicki
Kefalas started Out Promotion in 1985 as the Radio & TV PR company
for Factory Records & Les Disques de Crepuscule and was honoured
with a Factory catalogue number 'Fac 161' by Tony Wilson for making
Factory artists such as New Order and Happy Mondays ubiquitous on
daytime radio and TV. Out later represented Creation Records and
crossed Primal Scream into the mainstream with their Screamadelica
campaign and brought The Pixies and Cocteau Twins their first daytime
playlists for 4AD.
Out
began its successful relationship with Mute Records soon after and
began working Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, gaining them daytime
radio playlists for the first time, as well as being instrumental
in the huge success of Moby's Play album. Out has worked The Bad
Seeds and Grinderman, as well as Moby, ever since.
Nicki
welcomed Caroline Poulton to Out in 1995. The two friends had always
wanted to work together and there has been no looking back.
Out
continues to cross over a highly eclectic and artistically acclaimed
roster today with current artists such as Goldfrapp, Richard Hawley
and Yeasayer who through Out have had their first national daytime
playlists. Out was extremely excited to add OK Go, White Rabbits,
Yeasayer & Kraftwerk to its roster in 2009.
Out
also looks after the historical catalogues of Joy Divison &
Can and has also worked on film soundtracks for The Crying Game,
24-Hour Party People, The Propostion, Control, and The Road.
